What is SFD protection?
SFD (Vehicle Diagnostic Protection) is a security layer in newer VAG platforms that blocks unauthorized modifications. This official license removes those barriers.
- ✅ Unlocked Functions: Enables ECU coding, adaptations, parameterizations, actuator testing, and basic adjustments.

🔢 Mandatory Requirements
To activate this license, your team must meet the following requirements:
- 1. Provide the Serial Number (S/N) in the order notes.
- 2. Have a current software update subscription on your scanner. If your software annual subscription has expired, the SFD function will not work even if you purchase it.
Activation Process
Digital service processed directly on Autel's servers.
- Make your purchase and send the S/N.
- Processing time: 1 to 2 business days .
- Two-Step Authentication: Once activated, you will need to link your Autel account with the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone to generate dynamic access codes.
- The authorization will appear in the "OEM Authorization" app on your tablet.
⚠️ ATTENTION: Limitations
- Porsche NOT Included: This license does not unlock Porsche vehicles.
- Compatible Equipment: MaxiSys Ultra, 906, 908 series, Autel 900, MaxiCheck MX900, among others.
- Policy: As this is a digital product, there are no refunds once it has been processed.
